Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) is the public transportation system serving Charlottesville, which provides fixed-route bus services to key town locations, including the University of Virginia, downtown Charlottesville, shopping centers, and residential neighborhoods.
- CAT operates 12 fixed routes (including the Trolley) with varying schedules, including weekday, weekend, and holiday services

- All CAT buses are accessible to people with disabilities and are wheelchair lift equipped
