Jaunt provides 3 types of services:

1) Curb-to-curb demand-response service in the counties of Buckingham, Fluvanna, Louisa, Greene, Nelson, and rural Albemarle. This service requires prior reservation.

2) Fixed-route commuter service to UVA and downtown Charlottesville from Crozet, 29 North, Buckingham, and Lovingston. Reservations are not required to ride; show up at the advertised stop and time.

3) ADA paratransit service in the City of Charlottesville and urban Albemarle. You must be pre-approved by a representative from CAT to use Jaunt’s ADA Paratransit Service.

 

How do I make a reservation on Jaunt?

Reservations are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you’re a first-time rider, please call our friendly and courteous reservationists at
(434) 296-3184 and choose option 1.

They can set you up in our data system, answer your questions, and give you helpful tips. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance or up to one week in advance.

Jaunt services are accessible for people with disabilities.


ADA Paratransit Service

Jaunt provides door-to-door paratransit service to people with disabilities who are unable to use the local fixed route system through a sub-recipient arrangement with Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT), the City of Charlottesville, and Albemarle County. Passengers may use the service to travel to destinations within a three-quarter-mile radius of CATs fixed-route service.
