PATH, AARP, the Charlottesville Area Alliance and MPact are looking for volunteers to participate in virtual focus groups to share perspectives on public transit – covering topics such as perceptions, barriers, needs, and recurring themes.
Each volunteer will receive a $25 Food Lion gift card.
The focus groups are part of the “Listening & Storytelling for Inclusive Transit: Understanding Older Adults’ Transportation Needs in Region 10” project. The goal is to collect and elevate the voices of older adults and people with disabilities in Region 10 to better understand their experiences, challenges, and needs related to local transportation.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are 55 or older and/or have a disability
- Live in Charlottesville or Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa or Nelson Counties (Virginia)
- Currently use public transit or are interested in starting using it
- Are able to ride independently
- Have access and can use smartphone, tablet or computer (sessions will be held via Zoom)
Available focus group dates:
- Session 1: September 9th, 2025, 2:00 PM
- Session 2: September 24th, 2025, 10:00 AM
