PATH to Participate in Back to School Bash and Free Rural Health Clinic in Palmyra

PATH will participate in the upcoming Back to School Bash and inaugural Free Rural Health Clinic on Thursday, August 6, from 1–5 p.m. at 2524 Mountain Hill Road in Palmyra.

The free community event will bring together local organizations and healthcare providers to help families prepare for the new school year while connecting residents with important health and community resources.

Activities and services will include school and sports physicals, vaccinations, a backpack giveaway, food distribution, raffle prizes, a bouncy house, line dancing, and opportunities to meet with community health workers. Services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with no appointments required.

PATH staff will be on-site to share information about transportation options and resources available to residents throughout the region, including assistance for older adults and people with disabilities. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the PATH table, ask questions, and learn how PATH can help connect them with transportation for medical appointments and other essential trips.

The event is supported by several community partners, including CVHS Health Services, UVA Health, Move2Health Equity, Blue Ridge Health District, Charlottesville Free Clinic, and others.
