PATH participated in the 4th Annual Nelson Community Health Fair on July 18 at Tye River Elementary School in Arrington. The free community event brought together local organizations and service providers to connect residents with health, wellness, and other community resources. The event also offered sports physicals, immunizations, health education, and other services for local families.
During the event, PATH staff spoke with residents about transportation resources and services available throughout Nelson County and the surrounding region. Visitors learned about local public transportation options, volunteer driver programs, travel training opportunities, and the PATH Helpline.
Participating in community events like the Nelson Community Health Fair gives PATH an opportunity to connect directly with residents who may face transportation challenges and help them better understand the options available for medical appointments, essential errands, and other trips.
